Slowly, with pandemic conditions becoming part of daily life, our projects are resuming outreach services to their vulnerable communities. While coping with COVID is a challenge there as it is here in Canada, the need to re-engage with those who are struggling most has our project partners beginning to host activites so they can create safe spaces for our widows and orphans.
Geoff and Martha Muvumbo did just that last week in Chipata at the Family Centre. They invited teens from the compounds to the centre for a movie night. It was a welcome distraction from the stress of daily life and gave the Muvumbo’s opportunity to check in with the kids. Pictured is just some of the gang that enjoyed movies and popcorn.
